Epson has announced two brand new ranges of media: fine art papers and branded media for photo labs. Users will benefit from Epson’s heritage, expertise and superior paper quality.

Epson extends its hearty congratulations to long-term partner Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Team after the team secured its fifth successive FIA Formula One™ World Constructors' Championship*. The momentous victory was achieved on November 11 after drivers Lewis Hamilton, who won the race, and Valtteri Bottas combined to outpoint their nearest rivals at the Brazil Grand Prix in Sao Paolo.

Epson has announced it is a global sponsor of the 2018 Nature’s Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards Exhibition for the seventh consecutive year. As the exclusive Printer and Paper Partner for the ongoing exhibition, Epson’s professional printing technology allows visitors to enjoy the “very best” in outdoor photography, celebrating the rich beauty and diversity of nature.

Epson have introduced Legacy Textured, the latest addition to its sophisticated Legacy Paper line, offering the ultimate in quality and longevity for artists selling their work. Legacy Textured is comprised of a mould-made paper base that lays cotton fibers down randomly to virtually eliminate curl, and a heavily textured surface that simulates old-world handcrafted watercolor papers. In addition, Epson today announced that its popular Metallic Photo Paper in Luster and Glossy are now Signature Worthy® papers, moving into Epson’s line of paper designed for photography, art illustration and fine art prints.

Epson have announced two new professional, entry-level, technical plotters: the SureColor SC-T3400 24-inch (desktop and floor-standing) printer and the SureColor SC-T5400 36-inch floor-standing printer. These models perfectly complement the earlier launch of the lower cost SC-T3100 and SC-T5100 – and mean that Epson now offers a full range of technical printers to meet the needs of professional services across a range of industry sectors.

Epson have announced a new Direct-to-Garment (DTG) pretreatment solution for polyester garments available for Epson's DTG solutions – the SureColor® F2000 and F2100. The easy-to-use solution keeps with the traditional DTG workflow, while helping to expand business opportunities to include industries that primarily feature 100 percent polyester garments, such as team sports apparel, activewear, imitation silk and leather, and accessories.

Epson today announced its SureColor® F6200 dye-sublimation printer has won the SGIA 2018 Product of the Year Award in the “Roll-to-Roll Dye-Sublimation on Metal” category. This is Epson’s third consecutive year receiving the prestigious Product of the Year award in this category from the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) annual competition. Epson’s complete line of dye-sublimation solutions, including the winning SureColor F6200 printer and the new Epson DS Transfer Photo Paper will be shown in Epson’s booth at SGIA, #1414.

Epson have announced the Epson SurePress® L-6534VW digital label press. Joining the SurePress L-6034VW in the UV digital label press line, the SurePress L-6534VW will offer three print speed modes from 49 feet per minute to 162 feet per minute (fpm). Epson will be demonstrating the new SurePress L-6534VW, as well as the SurePress L-6034VW and L-4533AW and workflow automation solutions with Wasatch RIP, at Labelexpo Americas in Chicago from Sept. 25-27 at Epson’s booth #5813.

Industry 4.0 is a reality, and Epson - the global market leader in SCARA robots and provider of automation solutions since 1980 - is ready to lead the change. As automation continues to expand, many new and innovative applications for robots are being developed. Revolutionising industry and other sectors, they have the potential to radically improve the quality of our working lives.

Epson have announced the launch of the Epson Print Academy™ YouTube channel, featuring educational content designed for customers using Epson Professional Imaging products. Initially launching for the photography market, the Epson Print Academy channel will expand to include content for other professional imaging markets, such as signage, graphic design and textile.

Epson will be showcasing its leading Label and Package printing solutions at Labelexpo Americas in Chicago (Booth #5813). Epson’s booth will include the SurePress® digital label presses with automated solutions including workflow using the Wasatch RIP software, as well as ColorWorks® on-demand color label printers.
